Hi all. I am feeling slightly overwhelmed by this side of technology. I have gotten used to the online class setup, but have never set up a blog myself. Feeling a bit inadequate. I may have many questions and any suggestions are welcome!

For this week's application, I chose to share a lesson called The Gummy Bear Lab. This activity addresses the standard of the Nature of Science. During the lab, students are required to measure and calculate volume, use the triple beam balance to determine mass and then calculate density. These measurements are taken before and after the gummy bear soaks in water overnight. The objective of the lab is for students to evaluate the relationship between mass, volume and density. Using the planning tool this week was helpful. I generally use these steps in planning. It is always important to preview content before a lesson, plan lessons that are both engaging and meaningful and assess the learning that has taken place.
